چکیده
Abstract Background Staphylococci are responsible for life-threatening infections in hospitals and community. Their ability to produce multiple virulence factors antibiotic resistance is an important reason of high mortality staphylococcal infections. Biofilm production by these organisms makes it difficult treat. Most the treating antibiotics failing making a matter concern. Aims This study aims detect increased biofilm-producing Staphylococcus compare performance three potential methods detection. Methods A total 81 isolates staphylococci including coagulase negative (CoNs), methicillin resistant S. aureus (MRSA), sensitive (MSSA) included this study. After identification, sensitivity test was performed. detection done different methods: Congo red agar method, tube adherence microtiter plate method. Result Out samples, 37 CoNs, 17 MRSA, 27 MSSA were identified. them we got 43 (53%) biofilm producers 40 (49%) 52 (64%) tissue culture plate/microtiter showed drug resistance. Conclusion We found out that method reliable as compared with other two methods. Antibiotic be very common producers. due developed result matrix does not let bind organisms. can make treatment future rate faster newly emerging antibiotics.

Detection of icaABCD Genes and Biofilm Formation in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Background & Objectives: Methicillin resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the most important pathogens that causes several nosocomial and community infections. Adhesion to surfaces and biofilm formation is considered main step in staphylococcal infection. The aims of this study were to determine presence oficaABCD genes and relation to the biofilm formation in of...
متن کاملDetection of Intracellular Adhesion (ica) and Biofilm Formation Genes in Staphylococcus aureus Isolates from Clinical Samples
Background: The nosocomial infections that cause the establishment of biofilms on the embedded biomedical surfaces are the leading cause of sepsis and are often related to colonization of implants by Staphylococcus epidermidis. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 clinical S. aureus isolates were collected from Zabol, Iran. The ability of these strains to form biofilm was determined by microli...
متن کاملBiofilm Formation and Detection of IcaAB Genes in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Objective(s) Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important cause of nosocomial and community infections. Biofilm formation, mediated by a polysaccharide intercellular adhesin (PIA) and encoded by the ica operon, is considered to be an important virulence factor in both S. epidermidis and S. aureus. However, the clinical impact of the ica locus and PIA production is less w...
متن کاملAntibiotic Resistance and Detection of femA Gene in Staphylococcus Aureus Isolates from Raw Milk
ABSTRACT Background and Objective: Antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains have become a problem in treatment of infections caused by S. aureus. This study aimed to evaluate antibiotic resistance in S. aureus isolates from raw milk and detect femA gene in these isolates, as a confirmatory test for identification of S. aureus species. ...

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: Acinetobacter species are responsible for a wide range of clinical complications in hospitalized patients. Antimicrobial treatment of clinical strains of Acinetobacter baumannii may be compromised due to multiple-drug resistance to b-lactams. Aim of this study was to determine antibiotic resistance patterns an...
